The Canadian Mental Health Association has a long and successful history of forging effective partnerships – with individuals and with private and public organizations. Working together with our partners, we educate, communicate, influence policy, and provide resource support in workplaces, schools, homes, and in other countries.

Our partners include other mental health groups. They also include organizations that address issues that impact on mental health, such as employment and housing.

As a founding member of the Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health, CMHA is part of a unified voice of consumer, family, community and health professional organizations working for a pan-Canadian action strategy on mental illness and mental health.

Internationally, CMHA has partnered with mental health organizations in southern Africa to promote the development of mental health associations there. CMHA National staff have also been invited to Japan to make presentations about consumer involvement and CMHA’s Framework for Support.
