Local events and activities planned in hundreds of CMHA community locations across Canada
Toronto, May 6, 2013 – With all the stress and challenges of life today, it’s important to pause and reflect on our mental health and well-being. That’s what Canadians are being encouraged to do as the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) launches its 62nd annual Mental Health Week (MHW) today. CMHA locations coast to coast started MHW by greeting morning commuters with mental health tips and facts, handing out mental health information at local malls and coffee shops, hosting free yoga classes and holding mental health walks in various communities.
CMHA to receive proceeds from national Bell mobile phone recycling program
Ottawa, April 22, 2013 – The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) is pleased to announce a new way for Canadians to promote mental health while helping the environment – by recycling mobile phones, batteries and accessories through the Bell Blue Box program.
CMHA to play an important role in helping workplaces implement new Standard
Toronto, January 16, 2013 – Today, Canada takes an important step for mental health as the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and the Bureau de Normalisation du Quebec (BNQ) release the country’s first-ever national workplace Standard, The National Standard of Canada – Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace – Prevention, promotion and guidance to staged implementation. CMHA applauds the release of the Standard, which defines and sets a higher standard for workplace mental health.
All Aboard: Our Collective Journey to a Stronger CMHA
