CMHA and the Mental Health Commission of Canada sign mutually beneficial agreement

At this time, there is a high-level agreement between both organizations to reinforce mutually supportive objectives such as maintaining and improving the mental health of all Canadians, supporting people’s recovery from mental illness, reducing the stigma associated with mental illness, and transforming Canada’s mental health system so that people with mental health problems and illness can be fully engaged in all aspects of social and economic life.

Specific areas of collaboration will be identified in the coming months. The intent is to define collaborative initiatives that will advance both CMHA’s nation-wide strategic plan and the Mental Health Strategy for Canada, in which CMHA is playing an important role in helping to implement
